Tom Hardy’s future on ‘MobLand’ is looking uncertain after new reports claimed his alleged on-set behavior created major tension with the cast and crew.

The 48-year-old actor reportedly kept production stalled during season two by staying in his trailer for hours at a time. According to one source, that left major co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren waiting on set. “He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time,” one insider claimed.

The source then made the sharpest claim. “He kept the cast waiting, which is a power play,” the insider said. “Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.”

Hardy Reportedly Clashed With Production

Hardy, who plays Harry Da Souza on the Paramount+ crime drama, was also reportedly late to set on a regular basis.

Other claims suggested the actor frequently gave script notes and changed dialogue without approval. Those alleged issues reportedly created friction behind the scenes as the show moved through filming.

Hardy’s character is a sharp and ruthless fixer working for a powerful London crime family. The role fits his intense screen image. The reported behind-the-scenes tension, however, has now become a separate story.

It remains unclear whether ‘MobLand’ will be renewed for season three. If the series returns, production is reportedly expected to begin in September.

Representatives for Hardy and Paramount+ were contacted for comment.

Old ‘Mad Max’ Tension Returns To The Conversation

The new claims have also brought Hardy’s past ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ tension back into focus.

During that grueling shoot, Hardy and Charlize Theron were widely reported to have clashed. Director George Miller later said the tension came partly from the fact that they were “two very different performers.” “Tom has a damage to him but also a brilliance that comes with it,” Miller said.

He added that Hardy sometimes had to be coaxed out of his trailer, while Theron was “incredibly disciplined” and usually first on set.

Miller said he tried to view their behavior as mirroring their characters, who had to learn to work together to survive. Still, he did not fully excuse the disruption. “There’s no excuse for it,” Miller said.

Hardy’s Career Has Survived Big Pressure Before

Hardy has built a long career on intense performances.

His early work in ‘Band Of Brothers’ and ‘Black Hawk Down’ helped put him on the industry map. ‘Bronson’ gave him a major breakthrough, while ‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘The Revenant’, and ‘Venom’ turned him into a global name. That track record is exactly why the ‘MobLand’ reports are getting attention.

Hardy has survived tough shoots, difficult roles, and past reputation chatter before. But if the latest claims are accurate, leaving actors like Mirren and Brosnan waiting may be harder for Hollywood to brush aside.
