Nicole Kidman may have just become part of Taylor Swift’s Knicks era.

The actress was not sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden when the New York Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. But thanks to Swift, Este Haim, and Alana Haim, Kidman still became part of the night’s most wholesome celebrity crossover.

Swift and the Haim sisters attended the June 10 game in matching Knicks-themed shirts with celebrity puns printed across the front. Swift wore “Stevie Knicks,” a nod to Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks. Este wore “Knicole Kidman” and Alana wore “Knickleback.”

The shirts got a major reaction inside the arena after the Jumbotron focused on the trio. Then Kidman saw the moment online and joined the fun herself.

Kidman Reacted To The Knicks Shirt Moment

Kidman reposted the Jumbotron clip on her Instagram Stories on June 11.

“Right there with you girls!” she wrote, adding basketball and heart emojis.

She also reposted the Haim sisters’ Instagram Reel showing them singing along with “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” with Swift. “My girls! I just wanna have fun!” Kidman wrote. That was enough to turn a funny courtside outfit into a full pop-culture crossover.

Swift, the Haim sisters, Nicole Kidman, Stevie Nicks, Nickelback, and the Knicks somehow ended up in the same conversation. For fans, that was exactly the kind of strange but harmless celebrity collision the internet loves.

Alana Haim Made The Custom Shirts

After the game, Alana’s representative confirmed that she created the custom T-shirts. According to The Cut, Alana bought royal blue Gildan shirts from Michaels for $2.99 each. Vogue reported that she used Speedball orange screen-printing ink with puff additive to make the designs.

Alana told Vogue that making shirts for friends has become one of her creative outlets. She said she even has a small setup at home that includes a Cricut cutting machine.

The “Stevie Knicks” shirt was apparently Swift’s idea. “I got a text from Taylor that was really the text that you want to get as an amateur screen printer,” Alana said.

She said Swift asked, “I want to wear this shirt to the game, can you make it for me?”

Alana said she immediately jumped at the chance. “I thought you would never ask, this is my dream,” she recalled.

Swift Wanted To Have Fun With The Knicks Look

Alana said the group went back and forth with different puns before settling on the shirts.

“We really just wanted to have fun,” she said, explaining that they were excited to attend the game and wanted the shirts to make people laugh.

They did. The Jumbotron moment quickly spread online, partly because of Swift’s huge fan base and partly because the puns were ridiculous in the best way.

“Stevie Knicks” was the obvious crowd-pleaser. But “Knicole Kidman” ended up getting the actual Nicole Kidman involved.

That turned the shirt from a joke into a celebrity interaction.

Knicks Game Became A Full Celebrity Event

Swift and the Haim sisters were far from the only famous faces at Madison Square Garden.

The crowd also included Timothée Chalamet, Mariska Hargitay, Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Spike Lee, Adam Sandler, Michael J. Fox, Chris Rock, Julianne Moore, Keke Palmer, Whoopi Goldberg, Hailey Bieber, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Schumer, Penn Badgley, Jeremy Strong, Rainn Wilson, Nas, Tate McRae, and more.

The celebrities witnessed a massive Knicks comeback. New York overcame a 29-point second-half deficit and beat the Spurs 107-106. OG Anunoby secured the win with a shot in the final seconds.

The Knicks now lead the best-of-seven series three games to one. Game 5 heads to San Antonio on June 13, with the Knicks having a chance to win their first championship since 1973.

But for celebrity-watchers, Game 4 already delivered its own win.

Taylor Swift showed up in a “Stevie Knicks” shirt. The Haim sisters joined in. Nicole Kidman approved from afar.

And somehow, a $2.99 custom shirt gave the Knicks one of the strangest Hollywood-pop crossovers of the Finals.
