Kim Kardashian’s rumored romance with Lewis Hamilton is reportedly causing friction inside the Formula 1 world.
The reality star’s appearances around the racing scene have allegedly left some F1 WAGs unhappy, with insiders claiming they believe Kardashian is taking too much attention away from them.
Kardashian, 45, was seen at the Monaco Grand Prix, where Hamilton, 41, raced for Ferrari. She watched the race alongside Alexandra Leclerc, the wife of Hamilton’s teammate Charles Leclerc.
After Hamilton finished second, Kardashian reportedly joined him on his luxury yacht off the French Riviera, along with her sister Khloé Kardashian.
That may have looked friendly from the outside. Behind the scenes, though, not everyone is said to be welcoming Kardashian’s arrival.

An F1 insider claimed Kardashian’s presence has shifted the usual paddock attention.
“There is a sense that she is stealing the show,” the source told the Daily Mail. “There was a sense of jealousy when Kim arrived because the other ladies are used to pulling focus. However, she doesn’t let it bother her.”
The insider added that Kardashian knows exactly what kind of attention she brings. “She’s used to it and knows the value she is bringing to the game,” the source continued. “She doesn’t really care if the other girls don’t like her, but some of their teams have reached out to arrange lunches. She’s open, but is focused on Lewis.”
Another source said F1 is already a world of “enormous wealth, big personalities and even bigger egos,” making Kardashian’s entry into the scene even more charged.
According to the insider, some people see her as a useful connection because of her access and influence, while others view her as an unwanted distraction.
Her Martin Brundle Snub Made Things Worse
Kardashian’s Monaco appearance also brought a separate backlash.
Before the race, she appeared to ignore commentator Martin Brundle when he tried to interview her on the starting grid. Brundle, a former driver, is known for his pre-race grid walk, where he stops celebrities for quick interviews before the race begins.
The clip went viral, with fans accusing Kardashian of being rude.
One insider claimed the moment did not help her standing in the paddock. “Things shifted once word spread about her interaction, or lack of one, with Martin Brundle,” the source said. The insider added that many F1 regulars viewed it as a “pretty classless moment.”
That has reportedly left people watching closely to see how Kardashian handles her next race appearance. “The real question now is what happens the next time she’s at a race,” the source said.

The attention around Kardashian may not be bad news for Hamilton.
The seven-time world champion has been chasing another title since his last championship win in 2020. His move to Ferrari has already put him under intense scrutiny, and Kardashian’s reported connection to him has only increased the spotlight.
One insider claimed Hamilton may have no issue with Kardashian being around F1 more often because attention follows her everywhere.
By extension, that attention keeps him in the conversation too.
