Taylor Swift’s wedding has turned into more than a celebrity guessing game.

Some Swifties are now reportedly betting millions on where Swift and Travis Kelce will get married and who will make the guest list. The couple has not officially confirmed the key details of their wedding, but that has not stopped prediction markets from turning the event into a major online wager.

For some fans, it is just another form of fandom. For others, it feels like a step too far.

Swifties Are Betting On The Wedding Venue

According to The New York Times, prediction-market platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket have allowed fans to place bets on Swift and Kelce’s wedding details.

One major bet centers on the venue.

Roughly $1.49 million has reportedly been wagered on the wedding taking place in New York. Pennsylvania and Tennessee each have far lower odds, while other fans have speculated about Swift’s Rhode Island estate.

The New York speculation has only grown because of rumors that Madison Square Garden could host the event. Reports have claimed the venue may cost the couple millions if they use it for what would likely become one of the most watched celebrity weddings of the year.

Other reports have pointed to July 3 as a possible wedding date, based on alleged save-the-date details.

Fans Are Also Betting On The Guest List

The betting does not stop with the venue.

On Polymarket, fans have also reportedly placed wagers on which celebrities will attend Swift and Kelce’s wedding.

Selena Gomez and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes are among the names drawing attention. Gracie Abrams has also been part of the guest-list speculation. More unexpected names have surfaced too, including influencer Andrew Tate, though his odds are reportedly low. Other rumored guests include Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, Mariah Carey and Tommy Mottola, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas.

Swift and Kelce’s families are expected to attend, along with close friends from both the music and sports worlds.

Some Fans Say The Betting Goes Too Far

Not every Swiftie is comfortable with the wedding becoming a betting market.

Some fans argue that Swift has always been careful about what she shares from her private life, especially when it comes to relationships and family moments. To them, wagering on her wedding details feels less like support and more like intrusion.

“I don’t think that you can really call yourself a supporter of an artist if you’re trying to place bets about their personal life,” fan Tanner Holcomb said. “She’s been really careful when she shares glimpses into her private life.”

That criticism gets at the central tension around Swift’s fame. Her fans are deeply invested in her life, but the wedding is still a private event. The more people track venues, guest lists, social media clues, and travel patterns, the more the line between fandom and surveillance starts to blur.

Prediction Markets Defend The Fan Frenzy

Kalshi spokeswoman Clarissa Bronfman defended the trend, saying fans have always tried to predict what their favorite celebrities will do next. “In many ways, prediction markets are becoming another layer of fandom and expression for the superfan,” she said.

Finance creator Tori Dunlap suggested the betting interest may also connect to Kelce’s world. Since Kelce is an NFL star, sports-betting culture naturally overlaps with his fan base. Swift’s massive popularity only adds more fuel to that.

The result is a strange new layer of celebrity obsession: fans are no longer just guessing what Swift will wear, where she will go, or who will be there. They are putting money behind it.

That may make the wedding feel even bigger. It may also make it feel less personal.

For now, Swift and Kelce have not publicly confirmed the details that fans are betting on. But the market around their wedding is already moving. And for some Swifties, that is exactly the problem.
