North West is showing fans another part of her bold personal style.
The 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West appeared in a new TikTok video where she showed off dermal piercings on her hands, including ones on her knuckles and wrists.
In the clip, North danced along to ‘Under Your Spell’ by Snow Strippers while flashing her detailed nails, blue hair, and new hand accessories for the camera. The post quickly drew attention because North has already made hand piercings part of her public image.
North West Shows Off New Piercings
North was first seen with finger piercings in September. She later referenced them in her January song ‘Piercing On My Hand’, which she released with her father.
“Piercing on my hand / the other holdin’ bands,” she sang on the track.
The TikTok appears to lean into that same image, with North using her hands as the focus of the video.
Her style experimentation has not stopped there. She has also been seen with dramatic manicures, colored contact lenses, bright hair, and most recently, 14-karat white gold grills.
For some fans, it is another sign that North is developing a very clear style identity at a young age. For others, it has raised questions about what is appropriate for a 12-year-old in the public eye.
Kim Kardashian Defends North’s Creative Choices
Kim has already pushed back against criticism of North’s look.
During an October appearance on ‘Call Her Daddy’, Kardashian said she allows North to experiment with things like hair color because it makes her happy. “I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” Kim said. “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creative away from her.”
The SKIMS founder has also rejected the idea that letting North express herself means she has no rules. On Khloé Kardashian’s ‘Khloé In Wonder Land’ podcast in January, Kim said that North does have structure at home. “North actually has a lot of rules,” Kim said. “The one area is I do let her express herself.”
Online Criticism Keeps Following Kim
Kim, who also shares Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with West, said people often judge her parenting without knowing what is happening behind the scenes.
“I think that no one knows unless they’re in my shoes,” she said.
She added that North would likely express herself regardless, so Kim appears to prefer guiding her rather than trying to shut it down completely.
That has not stopped the online debate. North’s new TikTok once again puts her style choices in the spotlight, from her blue hair to her hand piercings. And as usual, Kim’s parenting is part of the conversation too.
For North, it looks like another fashion statement. For the internet, it is another Kardashian parenting debate.
