Jessica Alba’s schedule is packed, but her routine sounds surprisingly normal. The 45-year-old actress and entrepreneur has moved between acting, business, family life and TV projects for years, from ‘Fantastic Four’ to ‘Honest Renovations.’ Through all of it, she says her day-to-day food habits stay fairly simple: protein, vegetables, easy snacks and meals her kids will actually eat.
That seems to be part of what keeps her looking energized without making her routine sound impossible to copy.
Jessica Alba Keeps Weeknight Dinners Simple
Alba’s go-to dinners are not elaborate celebrity-chef meals. They are bowls, proteins and family-friendly plates.
She says she often makes salmon bowls and fajita bowls because her kids are “really into bowls right now.” She also keeps homemade guacamole and chips in the mix.
“I always make homemade guac and have guac and chips,” Alba said.
Her other regular dinners include roasted chicken and steak. She also likes breakfast-for-dinner nights, especially when she can make sweet crepes, avocado toast and fried eggs.
It is not a restrictive plan. It is more of a repeatable structure: protein, produce, a few good carbs and something everyone at home will eat without a battle.

Protein Is A Daily Priority
Alba says protein has long been a key part of her diet.
“I’ve always been big on protein being a staple in my diet because I’ve always been pretty conscious about my health,” she said. “Protein and vegetables have always been a priority for me.” That explains why her dinners often center on salmon, chicken, steak, or eggs. It also explains why she keeps easy protein snacks close when her day gets busy.
One of her current favorites is Luna bars, especially the LemonZest flavor. She partnered with the brand for its ‘Easy to Love’ campaign, and says the bars are useful when she does not have time for a full breakfast.
Her Morning Routine Is Flexible, Not Perfect
Alba does not pretend that every morning runs the same way.
On ideal days, she starts with mindfulness, usually a meditation in bed. Then she has coffee, or sometimes gets coffee first and does the mindfulness afterward. She also tries to work out, either in a class or at her home gym.
For breakfast, she likes yogurt and berries when she has time. When she is rushing out, she grabs a Luna bar instead. Her coffee is simple, too. She drinks it with almond milk and tries to add collagen powder.
Her Car Is Stocked Like A Mom’s Survival Kit
Alba’s snack setup may be the most relatable part.
She keeps a small cooler in the backseat of her car with sliced apples, almond butter, cleaned grapes, and popcorn. She also keeps water on hand because her kids need reusable bottles for school and sports.
The routine is not glamorous. That is probably why it works.
For Alba, staying healthy at 45 does not seem to come from one dramatic rule. It comes from easy meals, protein, vegetables, movement when she can fit it in, and snacks ready before the chaos starts.
