Tyla later addressed the speculation herself in a TikTok video posted May 6.
The ‘She Did It Again’ singer said she did speak to Rihanna at the Met Gala and made clear there was no bad blood.
“Everyone knows I love Rih, oh my gosh. So, I met her last night, and she was cool,” Tyla said.
She explained that Rihanna seemed busy when they crossed paths.
“I went up to her. I was like, ‘Oh, hey,’ and she was like, ‘My baby daddy’s calling me.’ And then she left,” Tyla said.
Tyla admitted the quick exchange left her feeling unsure of what to do.
“I felt awkward… I don’t know how to say hi if I feel like someone’s busy,” she added.
