Hollywood’s weight-loss drug conversation has officially moved from bodies to faces. The term “Ozempic face” is used for the hollowed, thinner, or more tired-looking facial changes some people notice after major weight loss. It is often linked to GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, and Mounjaro, though rapid weight loss from any method can change the face.
The basic idea is simple. When facial fat drops quickly, cheeks can look flatter, under-eyes can seem more sunken, jawline skin can appear looser, and wrinkles may become more visible. That does not automatically mean someone used medication. It does mean Hollywood’s before-and-after culture has found a new obsession.
Now, celebrities from Kelly Osbourne to Jonah Hill are being pulled into the debate.

Kelly Osbourne Defended Ozempic
Kelly Osbourne has been one of the most talked-about stars in the “Ozempic face” conversation. Her face has appeared noticeably slimmer in recent photos, with fans pointing to sharper cheeks, a more defined jawline and a far leaner overall look. Osbourne has also spoken positively about Ozempic.
In February 2024, she called the drug “amazing” and joked that she was never a gym person. “There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that’s isn’t as boring as working out?” she said. “People hate on it because they want to do it.”
She also argued that the biggest critics may secretly want access to it. “Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works.”

Amy Schumer And Meghan Trainor Were More Open
Amy Schumer has been unusually direct about her weight-loss journey.
In 2022, she said she had liposuction, explaining, “It’s not about needing to be slamming, because I’ve never been famous for being hot, but I’d reached a place where I was tired of looking at myself in the mirror.”
Schumer later tried Wegovy and lost 30 pounds, but said the side effects were rough. “I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son,” she said on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.’
She later switched to Mounjaro and continued losing weight. Her slimmer face and body also became part of public speculation around her split from Chris Fischer after seven years of marriage.

Meghan Trainor also addressed her changed appearance after fans struggled to recognize her. In March 2025, she said Mounjaro helped her after her second pregnancy. “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago,” Trainor said. “I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support.”

Oprah And Jonah Hill Remain Part Of The Debate
Oprah Winfrey has also been candid about using weight-loss medication.
In 2023, she described having a medically approved prescription as “relief” and “a gift.” By December 2025, she said she saw it as long-term.
“It’s going to be a lifetime thing,” Winfrey said. “I’ve proven to myself I need it.”
Fans have still noted that her face appears slimmer, especially around the cheeks.

Jonah Hill is a different case. He has not publicly said he used GLP-1 medication, so any Ozempic speculation around him remains just that: speculation. Still, his recent slimmer appearance at public events and on the set of ‘Cut Off’ led fans to comment on his face, under-eyes and sharper features.
Hill has previously said in his 2022 documentary ‘Stutz’ that public jokes about his weight affected him. That context matters. The internet loves a before-and-after photo, but the person inside it still has to live with the noise.
