Aaron Taylor-Johnson gave fans a rare glimpse into his personal life as he celebrated his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson’s 59th birthday with a romantic trip to Rome.
The Bullet Train actor shared a series of sunlit vacation photos on Instagram, capturing moments from their Italian getaway and marking the special occasion with a heartfelt message.
“Me and you… in Rome ?? Happy Birthday Baby xxx,” Aaron wrote in the caption alongside the photo carousel.
Sam responded to the post in the comments with a short but affectionate reply, adding three heart emojis.
The images showed the couple enjoying time together while exploring Rome’s historic landmarks, including museums and churches. One photo captured Aaron mid-jump in front of an ancient doorway, radiating carefree energy during the celebratory trip.
The couple’s relationship began more than a decade ago when they met in 2009 while working on the film Nowhere Boy. Sam directed the movie while Aaron starred in it.
Their relationship soon blossomed, and the pair welcomed their first daughter, Wylda Rae, in July 2010. Their second daughter, Romy Hero, was born in January 2012.
Aaron and Sam married later that year in June 2012.
In addition to their two daughters together, Aaron is also stepfather to Sam’s two daughters, Angelica Jopling and Jessie Phoenix Jopling, from her previous marriage.
Over the years, the couple has often kept their relationship relatively private, occasionally sharing glimpses of their life together through social media posts and public appearances.
Their latest birthday celebration in Rome offered fans another look at their long-running romance as they marked Sam’s milestone birthday together.
