Priyanka Chopra Jonas is sharing a deeply personal memory from her wedding to Nick Jonas—and the moment that made her feel their love story was bigger than just one lifetime.
During a candid appearance on the March 3 episode of Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals, the actress reflected on the emotional significance of their 2018 wedding and the spiritual meaning behind the ceremonies that blended Indian and Western traditions.
Host Josh Scherer mentioned that Nick had previously talked about believing in reincarnation during his own appearance on the show in 2025. According to Chopra, that belief resonates with her as well—and it shaped how she viewed their wedding day.
The Quantico star described walking into the Hindu ceremony as a powerful, almost surreal moment. The venue had been transformed with low seating arrangements and a sacred fire altar known as a Havan Kund, while four priests chanted traditional prayers.
“The air was filled with the sound of the chants,” Chopra recalled, saying the experience felt like stepping into an entirely new chapter of her life.
At first, she said, the magnitude of the moment didn’t fully sink in when Jonas placed the ring on her finger. But everything shifted once the ceremony ended and they walked away together.
“That’s when I realized something had changed,” she explained. “I was moving from my mother’s home into the life I was building with my husband. I was choosing my own family.”
The couple also participated in the traditional saat phere ritual, where newlyweds circle a sacred fire seven times, symbolizing a bond that spans seven lifetimes.
It was after that ceremony that Jonas shared a sentiment that stuck with her.
“He said it felt like we were on our third or fourth lifetime together,” Chopra revealed.
Curious, she asked him what made him feel that way. Jonas reportedly told her their connection felt both familiar and exciting at the same time—like something deeply known, yet full of new experiences still to come.
“For him it felt like home,” Chopra said.
The couple married in December 2018 in a lavish multi-day celebration in India that honored both of their cultural traditions. Today, they share a daughter, Malti, who recently turned two.
Looking back, Chopra says that moment during their ceremony captured exactly how she feels about their relationship—like two souls who somehow found their way back to each other.
