Inside the Royal Fallout: Andrew’s Daughters Divided over his Involvement and Arrest with Epstein

[Credit: DepositPhotos] Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are reportedly responding very differently to their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s mounting legal troubles, with one daughter said to have cut off contact entirely. According to a January 17 report from The Daily Mail, Princess Eugenie has allegedly stopped communicating with Andrew and did not see him over the Christmas holiday. A source claimed there has been “no contact at all,” adding that Eugenie—who co-founded The Anti-Slavery Collective, an organization focused on combating human trafficking—has taken a firm stance due to her father’s association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Insiders suggest she is attempting to balance maintaining a relationship with her father while remaining aligned with the wider Royal Family. Andrew reportedly attended the christening of Beatrice’s 11-month-old daughter, Athena, in January, though he skipped the pub celebration that followed. It remains unclear whether Eugenie interacted with him during the event.

On February 19—his 66th birthday—Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office following allegations that he shared classified information with Epstein during his time as a United Kingdom trade envoy. He was taken into custody at his residence on King Charles’ Sandringham estate, where he had been living after vacating Royal Lodge in Windsor earlier this month.

Following his arrest, a source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack that the former prince was “furious” after being awakened by officers. According to the insider, he appeared shocked by the situation and reacted with visible anger, allegedly displaying a “Don’t you know who I am?” attitude as events unfolded.
