K-pop sensation i-dle has hit a major milestone, with their first song surpassing 400 million streams on Spotify.

The group’s chart-topping hit “Queencard,” featuring members Cho Mi Yeon, Minnie, Jeon So Yeon, Yuqi, and Yeh Shu Hua, recently crossed the 400 million stream mark on the global music streaming giant. This unprecedented achievement for i-dle underscores their growing international appeal and staying power in the competitive K-pop landscape.

“Queencard,” released in May 2023 as the lead single from their sixth mini-album “I Feel,” dominated Spotify’s weekly charts. It claimed the top spot in Taiwan and secured top 10 positions in diverse markets including South Korea, Singapore, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The track’s popularity extended to 13 other regions, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Chile, and Saudi Arabia, where it maintained a strong presence on the charts for an extended period.

The song’s music video has also been a runaway success, surpassing 400 million views on YouTube in June. Its enduring popularity is evident from its recent ranking at 21st place on YouTube’s weekly popularity chart in South Korea, as of the first week of November.

i-dle’s streaming success isn’t limited to “Queencard.” Their hits “TOMBOY” and “Nxde” have each amassed over 300 million Spotify streams. Several other tracks in their discography, including “Oh My God,” “LATATA,” “LION,” “Hann (?),” “Super Lady,” “Hwa (??),” and “Wife,” have all surpassed the 100 million stream mark. These impressive figures cement i-dle’s status as one of K-pop’s premier girl groups on the global stage.

The group’s commercial success extends beyond streaming platforms. Their eighth mini-album We Are marked their fourth consecutive million-seller, a rare feat in the industry. In October, i-dle’s Japanese extended play (EP) “i-dle” topped the Oricon Daily Chart and Apple Music’s J-POP Album Chart in Japan. It also claimed the number one spot on both the daily and weekly bestseller charts on China’s QQ Music, highlighting the group’s international appeal.

Fans can catch i-dle live at the upcoming 2025 MAMA AWARDS, scheduled for November 28 and 29 at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, where the group will showcase their talents to a global audience.
