CORTIS made a stunning impression during their first showcase in Japan.
The five-member group took the stage at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo on Wednesday, performing hits from their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES and taking part in an intimate fan Q&A. The packed venue, filled with both fans and media, highlighted the growing international buzz around the group.
CORTIS kicked off the evening with their album’s intro track, “GO!,” immediately setting an electrifying tone. “We’re so excited to finally meet our Japanese fans,” the group said. “Let’s make tonight unforgettable.” They also paid tribute to K-pop legends, noting, “This is the same stage where BTS held their Japanese debut showcase. It’s an honor to follow in their footsteps.”
The showcase featured high-energy performances of “JoyRide,” “What You Want,” and “FaSHioN,” with fans enthusiastically singing and dancing along. The energy didn’t fade even after the main set concluded—audiences clamored for an encore, and CORTIS delivered, performing “FaSHioN,” “GO!,” and “What You Want” once more, leaving fans with memories they won’t soon forget.
Reflecting on their rapid rise, CORTIS celebrated the international success of COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, which debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 on September 27, marking a major milestone for the group.
“We’re incredibly grateful for all the love and support we’ve received,” they said. Closing the showcase, CORTIS shared their ambitious vision: “One day, we hope to sell out stadiums like BTS and TXT. Tonight is the first step of that journey, and we hope fans will continue to watch us grow and cheer us on.”
The group’s Japanese debut has already created a media frenzy, with upcoming appearances planned at Tokyo Dome, as well as on radio and music broadcasts, signaling a promising start for CORTIS in Japan.
