Brooke Hogan is reflecting on her complicated relationship with her late father, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, through a deeply personal new song.
The singer and former reality TV star recently released a track titled Wanna Go Back, which touches on grief, regret, and unresolved feelings following her father’s death in July 2025.
A teaser posted to Instagram features emotional lyrics including, “I don’t wanna go back, ’cause you were my world, and I was your girl,” suggesting a heartfelt tribute to the wrestling icon.
Other lines in the song hint at lingering tension between the father and daughter. Lyrics referencing disappointment and past hurt suggest the relationship had its share of difficulties.
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, died at age 71 and was laid to rest in Clearwater, Florida two weeks after his passing.
Brooke Hogan did not attend the official funeral service, later explaining that she chose to honor her father in a different way.
According to reports, she spent the day privately at the beach with her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, and their twin children. Brooke said being near the ocean made her feel closer to her father, who loved the beach.
The tribute arrives after years of tension between the two. Brooke previously spoke about a period of estrangement that lasted roughly two years, which she partly linked to disagreements surrounding her father’s 2023 marriage to Sky Daily.
In earlier interviews, Brooke said the situation created a distance between them that was difficult to repair.
Her new song appears to reflect both the love and the complicated emotions she carried after losing him.
