Hero Fiennes Tiffin may be ready to return to the Wizarding World.
The actor, who played a young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, recently shared that he would be open to appearing in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television reboot.
While promoting his latest project, Young Sherlock, Fiennes Tiffin reflected on his experience joining the beloved franchise and what it would mean to revisit the iconic story.
“I’d 100 percent be interested in a role in the reboot,” he told Collider. “It feels like a lifetime ago now.”
Fiennes Tiffin originally appeared in the 2009 film as the teenage version of Tom Riddle, the character who eventually becomes Lord Voldemort. Although his role was brief, the chilling performance became memorable for fans of the series.
Looking back, the actor said he never expected to land the part when he first auditioned.
“When I did the first audition, I never believed I’d get close,” he admitted, explaining that the casting process included multiple callbacks before he was ultimately selected.
Now, years later, he says he feels proud whenever he revisits the scene.
“Every time I watch it, I feel even more proud of myself,” he said. “I feel quite detached from the person in those scenes, but it’s still an amazing memory.”
Fiennes Tiffin also described his involvement in the Harry Potter universe as an honor and said he would gladly return if the opportunity arose.
“If they wanted to call, I’d definitely pick up the phone,” he added.
HBO is currently developing a new television adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books, which is expected to retell the story across multiple seasons with a new cast.
The project has already sparked intense discussion among fans about which actors might appear in the reboot—and whether any familiar faces from the original films could return in new roles.
For Fiennes Tiffin, the idea of stepping back into the Wizarding World is clearly appealing.
And if the producers decide to revisit Tom Riddle’s story, he’s ready.
