One of Hollywood’s most enduring power couples has quietly come to an end. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are officially divorced, closing the chapter on their 19-year marriage and becoming legally single.
A judge in Nashville finalized the split this week, approving all agreements related to asset division and child custody. Court documents show that everything was settled smoothly, clearing the way for the divorce to be granted without delay.
Kidman filed for divorce in September, a move that stunned fans who had long viewed the Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning country star as one of entertainment’s most solid couples. Behind the scenes, however, the pair appeared to have carefully planned the separation, resolving all legal matters on the same day the paperwork was submitted.
Because the couple shares two teenage daughters, Tennessee law required a 90-day waiting period before the divorce could be finalized. That period has now passed, making the split official.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kidman has been named the primary residential parent, with the children expected to continue living in Nashville, where they were largely raised. Over nearly two decades together, they became fixtures on red carpets and at major award shows, frequently supporting one another’s careers. The split marks Urban’s first divorce and Kidman’s second. The actress was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001 and shares two older children with him.
