Sydney Sweeney is done staying silent about all those plastic surgery rumors.
In a new Variety interview, the 28-year-old Euphoria and Anyone But You star shut down years of speculation about her looks, making it clear she’s never gone under the knife—or the needle.
“I’ve never gotten anything done,” Sweeney said firmly. “I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing.”
The actress, who’s known for her fresh-faced beauty, added that she plans to embrace aging naturally. “I’m going to age gracefully,” she declared.
Still, Sweeney admits she gets a good laugh out of some of the internet’s wilder theories. “It’s really funny,” she said. “I’ll see things online like ‘comparison pictures.’ I’m like, ‘I’m 12 in that photo.’ Of course I look different—I have makeup on now and I’m 15 years older.”
The Euphoria breakout recently made waves at the AFI screening of her new film Christy in Los Angeles, where she unveiled a stunning new look—a sleek blonde bob created by her longtime hairstylist Glen “Coco” Oropeza. According to Oropeza, the transformation took nearly a week to perfect.
That same night, Sweeney revealed she’s just days away from wrapping Euphoria Season 3—HBO’s final chapter of the hit series. “I wrap Euphoria in two days,” she told Variety’s Marc Malkin at the premiere.
Returning to set after a three-year break has been an emotional homecoming. “It’s mostly the same crew, so it feels like I’m going home to family,” she shared. “I was 20 when I did the pilot. Seeing everyone again—it’s really comforting.”
While she stayed tight-lipped on the show’s ending, Sweeney’s knowing smile suggested there may still be a few surprises left in store for fans.
