K-pop sensation Stray Kids has set a historic milestone, becoming the first artist ever to top the Billboard 200 eight consecutive times since debut with their latest release SKZ IT TAPE.

According to Billboard’s preview published on November 30, the album SKZ IT TAPE: DO IT, released on November 21, moved approximately 295000 units in its first U.S. week, securing the group the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 for the chart dated December 6.

This achievement marks their eighth straight No. 1 entry, solidifying them as the act with the most chart-topping albums of the 2000s and setting two industry-shaping records in 2023 alone.

In U.S. album sales for 2023, Stray Kids ranked seventh overall, following Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter, their own fourth studio album KARMA released in August, and Playboi Carti.

Prior to the Billboard triumph, DO IT propelled Stray Kids to their highest placements yet on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs chart, reaching No. 11 globally and No. 13 in the U.S. Their upward momentum continued on the weekly rankings, where they climbed to No. 42 worldwide, surpassing their previous best of No. 60 with CEREMONY, and secured No. 82 in the U.S.

Their impact extends far beyond streaming and sales. The music video for Shinseon Noleum, released on their official YouTube channel on the afternoon of the 27th, dominated the global trending music video chart from the 28th through the 30th.

It resonated especially strongly in the U.S., Brazil, and France, where it claimed the No. 1 trending position, further cementing Stray Kids’ status as one of the most influential global acts of the decade.
