Shannen Doherty’s estate has filed a lawsuit against her ex husband Kurt Iswarienko, according to Variety. On April twenty eight, the UK outlet Daily Mail reported that Iswarienko allegedly failed to honor multiple conditions in their divorce settlement, prompting the late actress’s estate to file a complaint for breach of agreement.
The settlement required the couple to sell their jointly owned home and split the net proceeds equally, but sources state that Iswarienko has refused the sale and continues living on the property.
The estate also asserts that he agreed to purchase Doherty’s share of an aircraft for 100,000 USD but unilaterally deducted 50,274 USD and failed to transfer the remaining amount, accusing him of intentionally delaying the estate’s distribution.
Reports further indicate that Iswarienko was obligated to provide a complete list of Doherty’s works created during their marriage and share profits from licensing, broadcasting, and distribution, yet has not complied. He also allegedly failed to remove Doherty’s photos from his website, another requirement of the settlement.
Born in 1971, Doherty began acting at age ten and rose to fame as Brenda Walsh in the iconic 90s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, briefly entered remission, and then faced a recurrence in 2020 before her passing.
She filed for divorce from Iswarienko in April 2022 citing infidelity, and the pair finalized their settlement one day before her death in July, closing a turbulent chapter in her life.
