TWICE’s first sub-unit, MISAMO, is generating buzz ahead of the release of their first full-length Japanese album, PLAY. The album’s lead single, “Confetti,” is scheduled for release on February 4, 2026.
On Thursday, JYP Entertainment unveiled the album’s tracklist and concept photos on TWICE’s official Japanese social media accounts, sparking excitement among fans. In the concept images, members Mina, Sana, and Momo display a striking balance of strength and elegance, drawing attention with bold styling and their signature charisma.
PLAY features 12 tracks, including the title song “Confetti,” along with “Hmm,” “Not a Goodbye,” “Deep Eden,” “Red Diamond,” “Catch My Eye,” and solo tracks from each member: Momo’s “Kitty,” Sana’s “Ma Cherry,” and Mina’s “Turning Tables.” The album also includes their mini-2 title track “Identity” and debut songs “Do Not Touch” and “Message.”
Fans will particularly enjoy the solo tracks, which highlight each member’s unique style. The album also features fan-favorite performances from their MISAMO JAPAN DOME TOUR 2024 HAUTE COUTURE, including “Catch My Eye” and “Red Diamond.”
This release marks the final installment of a three-part series, following their Japanese debut mini-album Masterpiece (July 2023) and mini-2 HAUTE COUTURE (November 2024). After showcasing a refined and sophisticated sound in earlier releases, fans are eager to see what new creative directions MISAMO will explore in PLAY.
Formed by Mina, Sana, and Momo, MISAMO is TWICE’s first sub-unit. Since their Japanese debut with Masterpiece, the trio has dominated major charts, including Oricon, Billboard Japan, and Tower Records, demonstrating widespread popularity. Their 2024 dome tour in support of HAUTE COUTURE drew 250,000 fans across six shows, solidifying their status as one of Japan’s most influential K-pop acts.
