Hollywood couple Dennis Richards and Aaron Phypers are locked in a turbulent divorce, with Page Six reporting on the 22nd that Phypers has filed for spousal support while claiming he is so financially devastated that he has had to beg friends for money just to afford food.
He stated that he is facing eviction with 135000 USD in unpaid rent and HOA fees and asked the court for an expedited hearing, insisting that without immediate access to the substantial funds controlled by Richards he will be left homeless with no car and no phone.
Phypers is also struggling with payments for a pickup truck and a storage unit, and his situation worsened following his October arrest on spousal abuse charges. He revealed that he is burdened by 150000 USD in combined legal and administrative fees.
This comes after his indictment for allegedly assaulting Richards and intimidating witnesses during the divorce process, leading the court to grant Richards an extended restraining order with a 200000 USD bail requirement and a mandate that Phypers remain at least 100 yards away from her and her workplace until November 7 2030.
Richards had already obtained a restraining order in July, citing three concussions she says were caused by Phypers during their marriage. Phypers continues to deny all abuse allegations and claims her injuries were self inflicted while intoxicated while accusing her of substance abuse.
The pair married in 2018, and the dissolution of their seven year marriage marks Richards second high profile divorce following her split from actor Charlie Sheen.
