Law enforcement officials are ramping up their investigation into a grim discovery involving American singer d4vd, 20, after a 15-year-old girl was found dead in his vehicle.
On November 23, entertainment news outlet TMZ reported a gruesome detail: the body of the victim, identified as Celeste Rivas, was found decapitated and dismembered in a car registered to d4vd.
The report added that Rivas’s remains were partially frozen in the vehicle’s trunk and appeared to be in the process of thawing when discovered.
Investigators suspect d4vd may have attempted to cover up evidence of a crime and consider him a key person of interest. However, sources indicate he has not yet been officially named as a suspect in the case.
NBC News reported that d4vd has been uncooperative with police inquiries. Citing unnamed sources, the network suggested that a third party might have assisted in handling the body.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office faces significant challenges in determining the exact cause of death due to the severe mutilation of the body. They are currently awaiting results from toxicology tests.
The case first came to light in September when residents near d4vd’s Hollywood Hills home reported a foul odor coming from his Tesla, which had been parked and left unattended for about a month.
After the car was towed, employees at the impound lot also noticed the smell and alerted authorities. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office responded and discovered the decomposing remains of a young woman.

In response to these developments, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office executed a search warrant at d4vd’s Hollywood Hills residence. Investigators searched for traces of blood and seized potential evidence, including computers.
d4vd, who burst onto the music scene in 2021 with his debut single “Run Away,” gained international fame with his 2022 hits “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide.”
Last year, the singer performed in South Korea and appeared on popular TV shows like Mnet’s M Countdown and Killing Voice, connecting with his Korean fan base.
