NewJeans is stirring fan speculation with the so-called Antarctic member mystery, following the announcement that members Minji, Hanni, and Danielle are returning to ADOR. The discussion has centered around Hanni and Danielle in particular.

Online communities have been buzzing after a fan shared a social media photo of Hanni’s autograph, claiming, “I unexpectedly ran into Hanni in Ushuaia, Argentina,” and adding, “Hanni looked really happy.” Ushuaia is the southernmost city in Argentina, located close to the Antarctic region, fueling rumors that one of the members may be there.

Before this, Danielle was widely rumored to be the member heading to Antarctica. Known for her passion for marathons alongside singer Sean and actor Park Bo Gum, Danielle is reportedly preparing to take part in the Antarctic Ice Marathon this December.

The Antarctic Ice Marathon is the southernmost marathon in the world, held in the Union Glacier area of Antarctica. Listed in the Guinness World Records, it’s considered an extreme challenge even for experienced runners due to its freezing temperatures, fierce winds, and unpredictable weather.

The speculation escalated after Minji, Hanni, and Danielle made an official statement on Wednesday through a law firm rather than directly through ADOR. In their statement, the members said, “After careful consideration, we decided to return to ADOR,” adding, “One member is currently in Antarctica, which delayed the announcement, and due to ADOR’s lack of response, we had to issue a separate statement.”

ADOR responded, saying, “We are verifying the facts,” and added that they are coordinating individual interviews with the members to ensure smooth discussions.

Fans are eagerly watching for more updates, as the Antarctic connection adds a mysterious and adventurous twist to the group’s return.
