Kim Kardashian has revealed that she failed the bar exam but remains determined to continue her legal journey. On November 8, the 45-year-old shared on social media that she is not yet a lawyer, joking that she is currently just playing a well-dressed one on TV.
Kardashian explained that she has been studying law for six years and emphasized that there are no shortcuts or quitting, only more studying and stronger determination. She thanked her supporters for their encouragement and said that failure serves as motivation, noting she came close to passing this time.
Kardashian first discussed her law ambitions in a 2019 Vogue interview, inspired by her involvement in freeing Alice Marie Johnson, a prisoner she helped release in 2018. Following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian—who was part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team—she has shared her ongoing challenges in becoming a lawyer.
During a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Kardashian stated that she envisions herself stepping away from her celebrity life within a decade to focus on trial law. Beyond her studies, she continues to lead her billion-dollar shapewear brand Skims, which has cemented her status as both a cultural icon and a successful entrepreneur.
