Rosé Makes History: First K-Pop Artist Nominated for Grammy Awards with ‘APT.’

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has made history with three Grammy nominations, marking a landmark moment for K-pop. The Recording Academy announced on November 9 that her global hit APT. earned nods for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards, set for February 2026 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

This achievement makes APT. the first K-pop song ever nominated in the Grammys’ General Field categories and establishes Rosé as the first female K-pop artist to reach this level of recognition. Her collaboration with Bruno Mars, released in October 2024, became an international sensation and later won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, further solidifying her global influence.

Rosé followed that success with her first full-length album Rosie in December, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and stayed on the chart for a record 27 consecutive weeks—the longest for a K-pop female artist. Featuring her songwriting and composition throughout, Rosie highlighted her emotional depth and musical range.

With final Grammy voting scheduled from December 12 to January 5, the world now awaits whether Rosé’s historic nominations for APT.
