The Seoul Western District Prosecutor’s Office has reportedly deferred prosecution for Jung, who faced charges of violating the Road Traffic Act by driving without a license. The 2007-born Jung was accused of practicing driving on mountain roads near his home in Hadong in 2023 despite being underage and unlicensed.
Police conducted an investigation into the incident earlier this year before forwarding the case to prosecutors. Initially handled by the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office, the case was later transferred to the Seoul Western District, likely reflecting Jung’s place of residence.
This was not his first traffic-related offense; in March 2023, Jung was caught riding a motorcycle on the Dongbu Expressway near Gunja Bridge en route to Seongsu, an incident reported by another driver. The Youth Crime Division of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutor’s Office personally questioned Jung before determining a deferred prosecution under the Road Traffic Act’s restrictions on certain roadway use.
