The outlet reported that baseball fans were surprised to see Shohei Ohtani’s wife taking photos from atop a double-decker bus with what appeared to be an iPhone 13 Mini, a model released in 2021 and now discontinued.

During last year’s Major League Baseball World Tour Seoul Series, she caught the public’s eye by carrying a simple Zara bag priced at 5,000 JPY (33 USD) to a team dinner. At the games, she chose ordinary seats near first base instead of the VIP area, reinforcing her humble image.
Her understated lifestyle contrasts sharply with her husband’s record-breaking 10-year, 700 million USD contract with the Dodgers, making her frugality even more intriguing to fans and media alike.
