Jonathan Bailey has been crowned People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.
On Monday, the U.S. entertainment magazine revealed Bailey as this year’s pick, highlighting his global appeal and charm. Reacting to the honor, Bailey called it an “incredible privilege” and added, “It’s very flattering and also completely unbelievable.”
Bailey shared a playful anecdote about keeping the news under wraps: “I had to keep it a secret, so I only told my dog. Now I’m excited for my friends and family to find out.”
The British actor rose to worldwide fame with his role in Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton. He also appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion.
In addition, Bailey earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his performance in the 2023 U.S. drama Fellow Travelers.
Openly gay, Bailey has also founded a fund supporting LGBTQ+ organizations, demonstrating his commitment to advocacy beyond the screen.
People magazine has been naming the Sexiest Man Alive annually since 1985, starting with Mel Gibson. The oldest recipient was Sean Connery, 59, in 1989, while the youngest were John F. Kennedy Jr. (1988) and Tom Cruise (1990), both at 27.
