Cha Eun Woo (real name Lee Dong Min) has gone viral after being spotted assisting at the 2025 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit while on active military duty.

On Thursday, eyewitness accounts and videos of Cha circulated widely on social media. Currently serving in the Ministry of National Defense’s Service Support Group, Cha Eun Woo was seen in Gyeongju, helping with preparations for the APEC leaders’ meeting.

In the clips, Cha Eun Woo wore full army uniform, exuding calm confidence as he entered the venue. His disciplined military presence, combined with his signature good looks and striking physique, drew immediate attention. Witnesses even remarked that his appearance in a hotel lobby looked movie-like.

Fans online responded with excitement, posting comments like “It felt like a military movie scene,” “How can a uniform look this good?” and “Cha Eun Woo is truly a national treasure.” Others noted the reach of K-pop on the global stage: “BTS’s RM gives a speech, and Cha Eun Woo supports the event — K-pop is everywhere at APEC.”

Cha Eun Woo enlisted in the Army Band in July and currently serves as a private first class. Known for his dedication, he was reportedly selected as a model trainee during basic training for his leadership and discipline.

Even while serving, Cha Eun Woo’s entertainment career continues. His new film The First Ride premiered on Thursday, and he is set to release his second mini-album, ELSE, on November 21.
