Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have reportedly ended their nine-month relationship.
On Thursday, Page Six reported that the breakup was initiated by de Armas, citing the fast pace of their romance as a key factor. A source told the outlet, “Their relationship was moving quickly, and while Ana couldn’t deny the chemistry, she felt uncomfortable with the speed at which things were progressing.”
Another insider added, “Ana still cares deeply for Tom, and there’s a connection between them. But for now, they’ve decided to remain friends. She needed to take a step back.”
Rumors of the couple’s relationship first surfaced in February, quickly generating buzz across Hollywood. At one point, speculation even swirled about a potential engagement. After nine months together, however, the pair have chosen to go their separate ways.
People and Elle reported that differences in personality and lifestyle also played a role in the split.
This breakup adds another chapter to Cruise’s high-profile romantic history, following marriages and divorces with Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes. De Armas, who divorced in 2013, has also previously made headlines for her relationship with actor Ben Affleck.
