An online press conference for Daedan Guide was held Tuesday with PD Woo Tak Woo, Park Myung Soo, Kim Dae Ho, Choi Daniel, Lee Mu Jin, Jeon So Min, and Oh My Girl’s Hyojung. The cast and production team shared insights into the show’s concept and chemistry. The spin-off, premiering today, bridges Seasons 2 and 3 as a lighthearted travelogue highlighting nearby destinations. PD Woo said the success of Season 2 inspired them to continue, aiming to blend studio camaraderie with outdoor adventure. He described it as a warm-up before the more ambitious Great Guide 3. Kim Dae Ho, part of the show since Season 1, expressed excitement about his dual role as traveler and guide.

Joining him, Choi Daniel introduced himself as the show’s “secret weapon,” promising new energy and chemistry. This season’s destination is Mount Baekdu, personally chosen by Kim Dae Ho and Choi Daniel for its relatability to viewers. PD Woo highlighted the sibling-like bond among the cast as one of the show’s strengths. Park Myung Soo said exploring places he genuinely wanted to visit made the shoot especially rewarding.

Kim Dae Ho shared that he once preferred solo travel but discovered the joy of group trips. Choi Daniel added that Kim’s thoughtfulness revealed his warm personality. Lee Mu Jin said he joined for a change of pace, calling the experience a leap of faith after feeling emptiness post-Season 2. Jeon So Min, reuniting with close friend Choi Daniel, said the trip helped her overcome travel burnout and rediscover the fun of exploring with friends. She praised Daniel for handling the challenges of guiding through unfamiliar settings while creating lasting memories.
