The spin-off, premiering today, bridges Seasons 2 and 3 as a lighthearted travelogue highlighting nearby destinations. PD Woo said the success of Season 2 inspired them to continue, aiming to blend studio camaraderie with outdoor adventure. He described it as a warm-up before the more ambitious Great Guide 3. Kim Dae Ho, part of the show since Season 1, expressed excitement about his dual role as traveler and guide.
Joining him, Choi Daniel introduced himself as the show’s “secret weapon,” promising new energy and chemistry. This season’s destination is Mount Baekdu, personally chosen by Kim Dae Ho and Choi Daniel for its relatability to viewers. PD Woo highlighted the sibling-like bond among the cast as one of the show’s strengths. Park Myung Soo said exploring places he genuinely wanted to visit made the shoot especially rewarding.
Kim Dae Ho shared that he once preferred solo travel but discovered the joy of group trips. Choi Daniel added that Kim’s thoughtfulness revealed his warm personality.
