WJSN’s Da Young has joined the star-studded lineup for the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA).
The KGMA organizing committee announced on October 27 that Da Young will perform at the ceremony, set for November 15 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. This marks her first awards-show appearance since making her solo debut.
She is slated to perform her breakout solo track “Body,” showcasing her signature passion and stage presence built over nine years in the industry.
Da Young launched her solo career on September 9 with the digital single album Gonna Love Me, Right? The title track quickly gained traction, praised for its catchy melody and refreshing vocals. “Body” reached No. 9 on Melon’s Top 100, No. 3 on the Hot 100, and topped Bugs’ real-time chart, dominating major platforms.
The #BodyChallenge, which featured K-pop idols, actors, and content creators, went viral worldwide. Her upbeat energy and charm helped her win her first solo music-show trophy on SBS funE’s The Show.
Her solo debut also caught the attention of Forbes, NME, and FOX 13 Seattle, boosting her profile as an emerging global artist.
Now in its second year, the KGMA promises a dazzling spectacle blending music and technology. The two-day event opens on November 14 with Artist Day performances by The Boyz, Park Seo Jin, Boy Next Door, Psycus, ATEEZ, and Lee Chan Won, followed by Music Day on November 15, featuring BTOB, Stray Kids, IVE, Kiss of Life, fromis_9, and Da Young.
Hosted by Nam Ji Hyun, with Red Velvet’s Irene and Kiss of Life’s Natti joining as special MCs, the KGMA is presented by Ilgan Sports (Edaily M) and co-organized by the KGMA Committee, Creator Ring, and DOD.
Supported by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization, the event partners with iM Bank, KT ENA, Hanteo Chart, Genie Music, FLO, and Bugs, with Set the Stage overseeing production.
