Park Yoo Chun has shared new glimpses of his life in Japan, giving fans an update on his current situation. On Friday, he posted a candid photo on social media, showing himself seated at an outdoor table, wearing a beanie and flashing a peace sign. Observers noted his visibly thinner frame and weary appearance.

Although he has stepped away from the South Korean entertainment industry, Park continues to maintain an active presence in Japan through fan meetings and performances, even as the weight of past controversies continues to overshadow his career. His withdrawal from the Korean spotlight followed multiple scandals, including a false press conference over drug allegations, legal disputes with his agency, and significant tax issues. In 2019, he received a suspended 10-month prison sentence for drug use and was later named by the National Tax Service as a high-profile tax delinquent. More recently, he has become embroiled in another legal dispute, as his agency’s CEO filed a lawsuit seeking around 500 million KRW (375,000 USD) in damages, claiming he engaged in unauthorized activities after breaching his contract.

Park’s team insists the contract had already expired. Once a celebrated member of TVXQ and later JYJ, Park Yoo Chun’s succession of controversies has effectively ended his career in South Korea, pushing him to continue his pursuits overseas.
