Oasis made a triumphant return to South Korea, electrifying nearly 60,000 fans at the Goyang Sports Complex in their first performance in the country in 16 years. A multi-generational audience—from enthusiastic teenagers to devoted long-time fans—came together in a euphoric celebration of the band’s timeless Britpop sound. As part of their ongoing world tour, the legendary group performed on Tuesday before an audience of about 55,000. Rather than remaining passive spectators, fans threw themselves into the experience, singing and dancing with unrestrained energy throughout the night.

The night opened with the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, stepping onto the stage together and raising their hands to a wave of thunderous applause. Oasis kicked off their set with Hello, followed by a string of beloved anthems including Acquiesce, Morning Glory, Some Might Say, and Bring It On Down. Excitement surged through the stadium as fans, no matter where they sat, leapt to their feet in anticipation. Throughout the night, Liam and Noel’s commanding presence kept the entire venue electrified—even those in the farthest rows. The crowd’s devotion was unmistakable as they chanted the brothers’ names each time their faces appeared on the massive screens.

In a spirited homage to Manchester City’s football tradition, Liam urged the audience to turn their backs to the stage during Cigarettes & Alcohol, creating an unforgettable and immersive moment that heightened the concert’s electric atmosphere.

The band then rolled out a powerful streak of hits, including Fade Away, Supersonic, and Roll With It. Emotions peaked during moving performances of Talk Tonight and Half the World Away, as thousands of phone lights shimmered across the arena.

The energy reignited when Oasis launched into Little by Little, D’You Know What I Mean?, Stand by Me, and Cast No Shadow, with the crowd passionately singing every lyric. One of the night’s defining highlights came with Slide Away, where Liam and Noel’s harmonies resonated deeply, symbolizing both their renewed unity and the 16-year anticipation of South Korean fans who had long awaited their return.

A wave of nostalgia swept through the arena as Noel set aside his guitar and picked up a tambourine to begin Whatever. The moment struck an emotional chord, with fans embracing and some moved to tears. The main set reached its exhilarating climax with Live Forever and Rock ’n’ Roll Star, leaving the crowd in a state of euphoric unity. For the encore, Oasis delivered a flawless finale with The Masterplan, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, and Champagne Supernova. The standing area erupted into spontaneous dance circles, a vivid celebration of pure, unrestrained joy that perfectly captured the spirit of the night.

Since their formation in 1991, Oasis has sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Before they split in 2009, the band accomplished the remarkable feat of seeing all seven of their studio albums reach the top of the UK charts. Their breakup—occurring midway through a world tour—was largely fueled by the infamous rivalry between the Gallagher brothers.

After years spent on separate solo ventures, the band’s reunion announcement in August last year sent shockwaves through the global music scene, marking their first world tour in 15 years. The South Korean leg sold out within minutes, underscoring the immense anticipation surrounding their comeback. While Noel had previously performed in South Korea as a solo act, Liam’s last appearances in the country were in 2011 and 2017.
