Han Ji Min is receiving widespread admiration for a touching act of kindness shown during the wedding of artist and writer Jung Eun Hye, her former co-star from Our Blues.
On a recent episode of Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny, viewers were given an intimate look at Jung Eun Hye’s wedding ceremony. Jung, who has Level 3 Down syndrome and played Han Ji Min’s older sister on the show, met her now-husband, Jo Young Nam, through a public job program designed for people with developmental disabilities.
The celebration turned into a heartwarming reunion as many cast members from Our Blues came together to show their support. Attendees included Han Ji Min, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Jung Eun, and the acclaimed screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung.
One particularly touching moment revealed during the broadcast was Han Ji Min’s generous contribution to the wedding preparations. Jung Eun Hye’s mother shared, “Ji Min’s makeup team did all of the wedding makeup for us,” expressing her deep gratitude for the kind gesture.
During her emotional speech, Han Ji Min reflected on the significance of the day: “I never imagined Eun Hye’s wedding day would come. When I heard the news, it truly felt like a dream.” She added, “The first person who came to mind wasn’t Eun Hye, but her mother. We’ve shared many conversations over the years, and I believe Eun Hye is who she is today thanks to her parents and younger sibling.”
Han Ji Min also expressed her appreciation to Jung Eun Hye herself: “As your on-screen sister, I want to thank you for letting me be a part of this special day.”
The heartfelt ceremony and Han Ji Min’s genuine words resonated strongly with viewers. According to Nielsen Korea, the episode earned a 5.7% household rating in the Seoul metropolitan area, a significant increase from the previous week. It ranked #1 among Monday variety shows and topped all programs across genres in the key 20-49 age demographic with a 1.8% rating. The episode’s peak moment reached an impressive 7.3% viewership.
