Kang Min Kyung, one of Davichi, is known not only for her powerful vocals but also for her impressive self-discipline when it comes to health and fitness. And now, she’s finally shared how she manages to maintain her slim figure, despite having a serious love for food.
On Tuesday, Kang Min Kyung uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled “The Truth Behind Kang Min Kyung’s Vlog.” In it, she gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her day, including a mukbang-style eating session where she whips up and enjoys Korean comfort foods like grilled beef intestines and spicy sea snail salad.
Despite her well-known figure, she reportedly maintains a weight in the high 40 kg (the 100–110 lb range), Kang Min Kyung didn’t hold back, even indulging in late-night snacks. Rather than criticism, fans responded with light-hearted envy, impressed by how she seems to eat freely while staying so fit.

Kang Min Kyung got candid about the reality behind the scenes. “This isn’t the kind of job where you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want,” she said. “There are days when I have major shoots coming up, but I’ve also got a big appetite. So when I find something I really love, I let myself enjoy it, but I stay disciplined afterward. It’s all about balance.”
She went on to say, “I actually don’t think I eat less than my friends. But people always ask, ‘How do you eat so much and not gain weight?’ The truth is, I work out hard, four days a week, high intensity. I also avoid white rice and try to stick to one meal a day, four to five days a week.”
Kang Min Kyung also reflected on her early years in the spotlight, admitting to trying extreme diets when she was younger. “After going through those intense weight-loss periods, I think my body type changed a little,” she shared. “I lost the weight first, then built up my metabolism through regular exercise.”
Still, she’s realistic about the future. “As I get older, I know my muscle mass will naturally decrease and my body will change,” she said. “But for now, I think I’m doing a pretty good job staying on top of it.”
