Cha Eun Woo’s Enlistment Comes With an Unusual Request

As ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo begins his military service, his agency Fantagio has requested fans to avoid sending mail to his military base.

Fantagio explained through ASTRO’s official fan café on Tuesday that Cha had entered Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, the previous day. The agency acknowledged the fans’ support and enthusiasm, thanking AROHA (ASTRO’s fandom) for their overwhelming support.

However, the agency noted that military units face difficulties in managing large volumes of letters and parcels, which increases the risk of items being lost or mishandled. Due to this, they advised fans not to send any letters or packages directly to the military base.

They further clarified that if gifts sent to military facilities interfere with service operations, the company may be forced to take preventive measures, and all such items would be disposed of in accordance with military protocols.

Fantagio also asked fans to send supportive messages to the company instead, stating that it would continue doing its utmost to support Cha Eun Woo throughout his military service.

Cha Eun Woo will complete basic training before serving in the Army Military Band. He is expected to be discharged on January 27, 2027.

Despite his enlistment, he’ll continue releasing new content. He has already finished filming a music video for his upcoming solo album, which is scheduled for release in September. He is also set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series The Wonder Fools, expected to premiere next year, and in the movie First Ride.
