Choo Young Woo has secured the No. 1 spot in Korea’s July 2025 Actor Brand Reputation Rankings.

On Tuesday, the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute released the latest results based on a comprehensive big data analysis covering actors active in TV dramas, films, and streaming platforms. Choo Young Woo ranked first, followed by Lee Jung Jae in second and Lee Byung Hun in third.

Choo dominated the rankings with a brand reputation index of 7,694,868, which includes: a participation Index of 2,216,123, a media index of 1,217,858, a communication Index of 2,045,446, and a community Index of 2,215,441.

Lee Jung Jae followed closely with a total index of 7,050,788, while Lee Byung Hun placed third with 6,578,206.

Park Bo Gum and Jo Yu Ri rounded out the top five, earning brand reputation scores of 4,663,633 and 4,322,075, respectively.

The rankings are based on an analysis of over 145 million data points collected from June 22 to July 22, covering 100 Korean actors currently starring in dramas, movies, or on OTT (streaming) platforms. The data is broken down into four major indices, participation, media exposure, communication, and community engagement, to evaluate public sentiment, media buzz, audience interaction, and overall popularity.

As OTT platforms continue to expand their reach, the methodology has also evolved to include data from web-based series and digital-first content, not just traditional film and TV.

Choo Young Woo made his debut in 2021 with the web drama You Make Me Dance and quickly rose to fame. He’s since starred in high-profile projects like JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok and Netflix’s The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, solidifying his status as one of Korea’s most promising next-generation actors.
