Lee Joon Hyuk and Lee Yi Kyung warmed hearts with their surprise appearances for Jang Do Yeon during a special event celebrating the 100th episode of Salon Drip.
On Tuesday, the Salon Drip YouTube channel, TEO_universe, released a video titled “Hello! Salon Drip Has Something to Brag About… Please Leave Nice Comments” to mark this milestone.
The video captured Jang Do Yeon chatting with guests at the show’s pop-up café. A highlight came when Lee Yi Kyung, who previously appeared on Episode 41, made an unexpected entrance. Jang Do Yeon’s face lit up with joy, especially when Lee presented her with a bouquet of flowers he had brought himself. “How fancy!” she exclaimed, clearly delighted.
Reflecting on the success of his episode, Lee Yi Kyung said, “I was shocked by how well it was received. I couldn’t believe something like this would happen in my life,” referring to his episode trending in YouTube’s Top Rising Videos.
During the event, Lee Yi Kyung picked out a wish gift for the guests. When Jang Do Yeon jokingly asked him to suggest something within a budget of 100,000 KRW (about $73), he replied, “Sorry for dropping by unexpectedly with a gift. Is there anything you need?” showing his thoughtful side.
Pressed to choose more gifts, Lee Yi Kyung hesitated but finally said, “I’m moving soon, so anything like a lamp, decor, or ornament would be great, just surprise me.” He then invited Jang Do Yeon to select a gift as well.
When the wish gift was brought up again, Lee Yi Kyung told Jang Do Yeon, “Keep my gift. I’ll be giving presents all day, but this one’s from me,” a gesture that even moved the production team.
Jang Do Yeon playfully responded, “Lee Yi Kyung, let’s get married! If you don’t want to, I’ll divorce you right away. This is so romantic!” She added with a laugh, “When you call, I’ll answer with Honey,” sparking laughter all around.
Meanwhile, the production team revealed that although actor Lee Joon Hyuk couldn’t attend in person due to being overseas, he sent a thoughtful gift: a flower basket and a bottle of white wine, accompanied by a heartfelt card reading, “Congratulations on the 100th episode of Salon Drip. From Lee Joon Hyuk.”
Jang Do Yeon was genuinely surprised and touched. “So sweet,” she said, teasingly adding, “Lee Yi Kyung, Lee Joon Hyuk, what am I going to do? Looks like I’m doomed tonight,” causing everyone to laugh.
Lee Joon Hyuk had previously appeared on the 70th episode of Salon Drip, where his undeniable chemistry with Jang Do Yeon caught viewers’ attention. During the show, he couldn’t take his eyes off her, praising her beauty: “She’s even more stunning in person. Her skin is flawless, almost unreal. And her eyes are so clear.” He also connected with her over shared hobbies, saying, “I think we’d have so much to talk about if we hung out casually,” revealing his genuine fondness.
