Comedian Yang Se Chan recently addressed the buzz surrounding his public confession about actress Ji Ye Eun.
Appearing as a guest on MBC FM4U’s Two O’Clock Date with Ahn Young Mi, Yang took a moment to laugh off the growing speculation about his so-called “love line” with Ji Ye-eun — a term Korean fans often use to describe on-screen romantic chemistry.
A student listener called in, saying they’d gotten invested in Yang’s many on-screen flings. “I haven’t personally uploaded those clips,” Yang joked, “but there are definitely a few. One with Na Rae, one with So Min, and most recently, some sparks with Ah Young, which turned into a love triangle storyline with Daniel.”
When host Ahn Young Mi brought up a recent article about Yang Se Chan’s feelings for Ji Ye Eun, Yang Se Chan chuckled, saying, “That headline was hilarious.” He continued, “It was a fun read. I even saw it mentioned in that segment about Jeeseokjin World. Honestly, I’m not dying to clarify every little thing anymore. I’m not a huge star — I doubt people are that curious — but okay, I’ll explain.”
Yang shared that the clip causing all the buzz was filmed during Jeeseokjin World, where a playful exchange took place. “Seok Jin said something like, ‘Hey Se Chan, didn’t you have a thing for Ye Eun back then?’ And Ye Eun teased, ‘Oppa, you really liked me, didn’t you?’ So I just laughed and replied, ‘Sure, Ye-eun, I liked you. I did like you.’ That’s what made the article.”
When a listener texted in, telling him to slow down because he was “talking a mile a minute,” Yang Se Chan laughed and admitted, “Fair enough. I guess I got a little worked up. The way the host, writers, and director were looking at me — it felt like they were waiting for me to spill some juicy secret.”
Host Ahn Young Mi asked the obvious follow-up: “So, are you dating anyone now?” Yang gave a definitive “No.” As for his ideal type, he shared, “I’m not too focused on looks. For me, personality is everything — we’d need to vibe well.” On the topic of marriage, he added, “It takes two to tango. Timing is everything.”
Regarding the possibility of appearing on a dating reality show like Singles Inferno, Yang Se Chan joked, “I could do it, but any shirtless scenes might tank my popularity. People might start saying, ‘Oh man, look at that dad bod!'” He wrapped up the conversation with a hearty laugh.
