Set in an alternate version of present-day South Korea ruled by a constitutional monarchy, the Friday–Saturday series follows Seong Hee Joo (IU), a wealthy chaebol heiress who seems to have it all, except noble status, a fact that deeply frustrates her. Her counterpart is Grand Prince Lee Ahn, played by Lovely Runner star Byeon Woo Seok, a royal who has blue blood but no power or privilege to show for it.
Together, their characters navigate love, politics, and identity in a romantic drama that fuses class commentary with a modern royal twist.
