‘Masters of the Universe’ may be setting up another chapter, but fans already know what they really want next.
The new movie includes post-credits scenes that point toward a possible sequel. One scene teases the arrival of She-Ra, Prince Adam’s twin sister. Another hints that Skeletor may not be finished causing trouble just yet.
But instead of waiting for another full-scale battle for Eternia, many fans are asking for something stranger: a Skeletor spin-off.
Fans Want More Skeletor
After the movie’s release, viewers quickly took to social media to pitch their own ideas for the skull-faced villain.
“I’d love to see a 30-minute weekly Skeletor sitcom,” one fan wrote.
The idea caught on fast. Another fan replied, “Who wouldn’t?”
Others imagined Skeletor stranded on Earth, causing low-level chaos instead of trying to conquer worlds. One fan joked that he could have just enough power to annoy a homeowners’ association, but not enough to rule anything.
That may sound ridiculous. It also sounds like something people would absolutely watch.
Skeletor’s Comedy Side Gets Attention
Some fans argued the movie should have leaned harder into Skeletor’s comic potential.
“I wish they’d played up Skeletor’s comedic potential more,” one viewer wrote, adding that their theater laughed hard during his scenes.
Another fan imagined him as Adam’s awkward roommate, crying over romantic comedies or haunting a comic book store.
One viewer even had a closing line ready for every episode.
“If he doesn’t end every episode with ‘Until next time,’ what’s even the point?” the fan wrote.
She-Ra May Come First
For now, the post-credits scenes suggest She-Ra may be the next major focus. Her appearance hints at a return to Eternia and a wider universe beyond Adam’s story.
Still, Skeletor is clearly not out of the picture. The final post-credits scene leaves the door open for his return.
‘Masters of the Universe’ had a softer-than-hoped opening weekend, but Amazon General Motors remains optimistic. Domestic distribution chief Kevin Wilson praised director Travis Knight, the cast and crew, and said the release was an important first step in a larger strategy.
That may be true. But if fan chatter is any sign, the studio may want to keep one lesson in mind.
Sometimes the villain steals the movie. Sometimes he steals the sequel conversation too.
