Jennifer Lopez is not waiting around for a man to slide into her DMs.

The ‘Office Romance’ star, 56, made that very clear during a recent appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.’ When Andy Cohen asked whether she checks her direct messages, Lopez gave a quick answer.

“No,” she said.

That could have ended it. Of course, Cohen pushed.

Jennifer Lopez Says DMs Will Not Work

Cohen asked what would happen if a famous Spanish soccer player tried to reach her through Instagram. Lopez was not impressed by the idea.

“If they really wanted to find me, they could,” Lopez said. “Don’t you think?”

When Cohen clarified that Instagram would not be the way, Lopez laid down the rule.

“You’re not going to catch my eye through Instagram or by sliding into my DMs,” she said. “It’s going to take a lot more effort than that.”

That is classic J.Lo. Direct. Polished. Very aware of the game.

Lopez Is Enjoying Single Life

Lopez has been single since her split from Ben Affleck. The two first began their romance in 2002 after meeting on the set of ‘Gigli.’ They got engaged, called off their 2003 wedding and split in January 2004.

Nearly two decades later, Bennifer returned. Lopez and Affleck married in Las Vegas in July 2022, then held another ceremony in Georgia that August.

The reunion did not last. Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, and the marriage was finalized in January 2025.

In May, Lopez joked on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ that she should have embraced single life earlier.

“I should’ve done this sooner!” she said. “I’ve been doing it all wrong. Trust me.”

J.Lo Says She Feels Free

Lopez also opened up on ‘Good Morning America’ in March about choosing to sit with the breakup instead of running from it.

“I hit the pause button,” she said. “I canceled tours, everything.”

She said she stayed home and faced what had happened without escaping through work or another relationship.

“I knew I had to figure myself out,” Lopez said.

Now, Lopez says she is in a stronger place.

“For the first time in my life, I feel free,” she said. “I’m on my own, and it feels incredible.”

So, for anyone hoping to get J.Lo’s attention, the message is simple. A DM will not do it. She wants effort, intention and probably something a little more memorable than a heart emoji.
