Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein know exactly what people are saying. The “Office Romance” co-stars have been promoting their Netflix rom-com with heavy talk about chemistry. That word does plenty of work here. It sells the movie, feeds the rumor cycle, and keeps fans staring at every red carpet photo.

Jennifer Lopez Chemistry Takes Over

Lopez and Goldstein recently appeared together while promoting “Office Romance,” which arrives on Netflix on June 5. Lopez said their connection was easy from the start. She also said it grew as they worked through the film.

That would be standard press-tour language with most co-stars. However, Lopez’s public split from Ben Affleck gave every comment a second life. Suddenly, a harmless movie quote became gossip fuel.

Goldstein also leaned into the admiration. He co-wrote the film with Joe Kelly, and Lopez was reportedly the dream choice. In Hollywood terms, that is both flattering and useful.

Brett Goldstein Was Not Who She Expected

Lopez said she expected Goldstein to resemble Roy Kent, his famously blunt “Ted Lasso” character. Instead, she described him as gentle, smart and charming. That contrast gives the pairing its easiest headline.

Goldstein built his fame on gruff comic timing. Lopez built hers on star polish, romantic fantasy and full-control glamour. Together, they create the kind of odd-couple energy studios love to sell.

Still, there is a careful dance happening here. Neither star has confirmed a real-life romance. Yet both understand that speculation can help a romantic comedy land harder.

Rumors Keep Chasing The Movie

OK! Magazine reported that unnamed sources described off-camera chemistry between the pair. The same report suggested Lopez liked Goldstein but did not see him as a long-term match. That claim remains unconfirmed, and it should be treated as gossip, not fact.

Even so, fans already had material to work with. The pair appeared at Netflix’s Upfront event in New York. Page Six later reported they were seen dining together in the city.

The film’s plot only makes the noise louder. Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, a powerful CEO with a strict workplace policy. Goldstein plays Daniel Blanchflower, the lawyer who tests those rules.

That setup practically begs viewers to blur the line between promotion and possibility. For now, the only confirmed romance is the one Netflix will stream. Everything else sits in Hollywood’s favorite gray zone.
