The actress and filmmaker stepped out during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on May 19 in a glittering maroon gown covered in sequins. The look was sleek from the front, dramatic from the back, and built for cameras from every angle.
Longoria’s halter-neck gown featured a cinched waist, a large keyhole cutout, and a backless silhouette that made the dress one of her boldest Cannes looks so far this year.

The front of the dress featured a large keyhole cutout that nearly reached her waist. The fitted shape also included a built-in corset effect, giving the look more structure while keeping the silhouette sharp.
From the back, the dress got even more dramatic. In a video shared by hairstylist Iva?n Go?mez, Longoria turned around to reveal lace-up corset detailing and sequined straps that wrapped from behind her neck around her shoulders. “Look who just arrived to Cannessssss,” Go?mez wrote. Stylist Maeve Reilly, who has also worked with Paris Hilton and Megan Fox, dressed Longoria for the appearance.

Longoria matched the gown’s shine with large gold hoops, a stack of bracelets, and several rings. She wore her chestnut hair in a ponytail, with loose tendrils framing her face. Her makeup stayed in warm glam territory, with black eyeliner, gold eyeshadow, and a glossy neutral lip.

Longoria Recently Celebrated Motherhood
Earlier this month, Longoria marked Mother’s Day by sharing photos of her 7-year-old son, Santiago.
“Motherhood has been my most favorite role,” she wrote, adding that she was sending love to everyone who takes on that role “no matter what it looks like.”
In the photos, Longoria and Santiago enjoyed a sunny boat ride. Another slide showed her carrying him on her hip while directing on set. Santiago is Longoria’s only child with husband José Bastón. The couple married in Mexico in May 2016, meaning their 10th anniversary is coming up soon.
