Donald Trump traveled to China without Melania Trump, but another woman in his travel circle is now drawing attention.

The president went for a three-day summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, marking the first meeting between a U.S. president and China’s leader since Trump’s 2017 visit.

Melania joined him on the 2017 trip, but she stayed home this time. Trump instead traveled with several high-profile names, including Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Tim Cook, and Elon Musk.

Then Lara Trump posted a photo from the trip, and one blonde woman in the group had people asking the obvious question: who is she?

Who Is The Blonde Woman With Trump In China?

The woman appears to be Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant.

Harp, 35, has worked as executive assistant to the president since January 2025. She previously worked as a television presenter and joined Trump’s communications team in 2022. She also became known for frequently accompanying him during daily golf outings.

Her job may sound low-profile. Her influence reportedly is not. According to a Wall Street Journal report, Harp plays a key role in Trump’s Truth Social activity. Trump is known for posting late at night, sometimes sending dozens of posts in a short window. In one recent stretch, his account reportedly posted 55 times between 10:14 p.m. and 1:12 a.m. The posts included praise from supporters calling him the “greatest president ever,” along with AI-generated images and reposts from followers.

Natalie Harp Reportedly Helps With Truth Social Posts

Sources claimed Harp prints stacks of drafted social media posts for Trump to review and approve. She then reportedly logs into his account and posts batches of approved material. The report also claimed she was involved in posting and later deleting controversial images, including an AI image showing Trump as Jesus Christ.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung did not explain the internal process behind the posts. “Truth Social has never been hotter,” Cheung said, adding that Trump uses the platform to offer his “unfiltered and direct thoughts” without the media taking him out of context. He added, “We don’t discuss internal deliberations of how the process works, but no other social-media tool has been more effective than Truth.”

Why Natalie Harp Has Trump’s Trust

Harp endorsed Trump at the 2020 Republican National Convention and later became part of his inner communications circle. She has reportedly earned the nickname “human printer” because she carries a wireless printer to provide Trump with news stories while he is on the move.

Now, her presence on the China trip is getting fresh attention. Melania may be absent, but Harp is there. And if the reports are accurate, she is not just another staffer in the background. She may be one of the people closest to Trump’s most unpredictable public weapon: his social media feed.
