Angelina Jolie may finally be ready to make her long-teased exit from Los Angeles. The actor has listed her historic Los Feliz estate for nearly $30 million, just months before her youngest children turn 18. Now, talk of France, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney has turned her next move into Hollywood’s latest social chess match. The rumors feel especially sharp because Jolie’s future still runs through Château Miraval.

Angelina Jolie Eyes A New Life Abroad

Jolie has said before that she stayed in Los Angeles because of her divorce and custody situation. That chapter is nearing a major shift. Her twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 in July 2026, giving her more freedom to live abroad.

Her Los Feliz home carries a famous Hollywood history. The estate once belonged to Cecil B. DeMille and sits on more than two acres. Recent reports place the asking price at $29.85 million. For Jolie, the listing reads less like a real estate move and more like a final Hollywood exit.

France Buzz Puts Clooney In The Frame

The France chatter has added an extra celebrity wrinkle. Some reports claim George Clooney, a close friend of Pitt, feels cool toward Jolie’s possible French chapter. Those claims remain based on unnamed insiders, not public comments from Clooney or Jolie.

Still, the gossip has obvious fuel. Clooney and his wife, Amal, have strong ties to France. Jolie also has a long history there through Miraval and her children. Her twins were born in Nice, and she has spoken warmly about French culture.

Jolie recently praised France while discussing her Paris-set work. She said the country gives her deeper conversations and a richer creative feeling. That sounded less like a vacation quote and more like a woman testing a new home base.

Miraval Fight Still Shadows The Move

The timing also keeps Pitt in the story. Jolie and Pitt finalized their divorce in December 2024, but their Miraval battle continues. Pitt sued over Jolie’s sale of her winery stake, while Jolie has denied wrongdoing.

A newer court development gave Jolie a legal win. A Los Angeles judge denied Pitt’s bid to force the release of 22 private communications. The judge found that Pitt had not met the burden needed to override attorney-client privilege.

That ruling does not end the fight, though. Miraval still sits at the center of their post-divorce conflict. It also keeps Jolie’s French plans under a brighter spotlight than a normal celebrity move would receive.

Jolie’s children are also stepping into their own public identities. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne are no longer seen only through their parents’ split. Several have used Jolie’s name in public settings, which fans quickly noticed. For Jolie, the next chapter looks less like a retreat and more like a reset.

If she does build a larger life in France, every move will invite a reaction. Clooney rumors may fade, and the Miraval case may drag on. Yet the bigger story feels clear: Jolie is preparing to leave one version of Hollywood behind. This time, she may not be looking back.
