‘My Name Is Earl’ star Jaime Pressly is taking her next career move straight to the fans.
The 48-year-old actress has joined fan platform, O.F., saying the move gives her more control over what she shares and how she connects with the people who have followed her career for years.
“The entertainment industry is always shifting, and I’ve never been someone who sits on the sidelines,” Pressly said. “It gives me a space to create what I want, how I want, and share it directly with the people who’ve supported me for years.”
For Pressly, this is less about stepping away from Hollywood and more about building a space where she sets the tone herself.
Jaime Pressly Says She Wants To Create On Her Own Terms
Pressly announced the move by saying she has “always believed in evolving with the times.” “This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention,” she said. “I’ve loved meeting fans at various comic-cons, and the excitement of having those real face-to-face moments made me want to seek options like this platform.”
That direct connection appears to be the main pitch. Pressly’s page promises a “more personal, playful, and completely unfiltered” version of the actress.
Fans can expect exclusive photos and videos, behind-the-scenes updates, late-night thoughts, direct chats, and what she described as “the side of me Hollywood doesn’t always get to see.”
Her bio adds, “If you’ve ever wondered what I’m really like when the script ends… Come closer.”
Fan Platform CEO Praises Pressly’s Move
Andy Bachman, CEO of Creators Inc., helped advise Pressly on the launch and praised her audience appeal.
He said Pressly has “the rare mix of mainstream star power and a real audience connection that modern platforms reward.”
“She’s an elite entertainer, and fans are going to love what she creates here,” Bachman added.
Pressly is best known for playing Joy Turner on ‘My Name Is Earl’ from 2005 to 2009. The role earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2007.
She has also appeared in ‘The Re-Education of Molly Singer’, ‘Last Shot’, ‘The Conners’, and ‘Elsbeth’.
More Stars Are Turning To Fan Platforms
Pressly is not the only familiar face choosing a more direct fan model.
‘The Sopranos’ alum Drea de Matteo and ‘American Pie’ star Shannon Elizabeth have also joined fan platforms in recent years. Elizabeth previously described her own move as a way to be “closer to my fans.”
“It allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future,” Elizabeth said in April.
Pressly now seems to be making a similar bet. After years of sitcom fame, movie roles, and fan convention appearances, she is choosing a space where she can speak to her audience without waiting for a studio, network, or casting call to decide what comes next.
