Khloé Kardashian says her only Coachella experience was scary enough to keep her away for years.
The 41-year-old reality star opened up on the Wednesday, May 6, episode of her podcast ‘Khloé in Wonder Land,’ recalling a past trip to the California music festival that left her shaken after she unknowingly consumed something at a party.
“I have gone to Coachella. I’ve gone once,” Khloé said. “It was many moons ago. I want to say 2016 or something like that. It wasn’t the best experience.”
Then she explained why. “I got drugged without me knowing, but I think everyone knew,” she said.
Khloé Kardashian Says Coachella Left Her Scared
Khloé clarified that she does not believe someone intentionally targeted her.
“I don’t think anyone drugged me,” she said. “I just think I was the dumb one and didn’t realize that everyone was on drugs and I remember drinking this drink and just feeling really crazy.”
She said the worst part was not understanding what was happening to her body and mind. “No one wants to feel like that and not know why they’re like that,” Khloé added.
Instead of enjoying the festival weekend, she said she spent hours hiding in a bathroom while other people tried to get her to come out.
“I just didn’t realize what was happening until after it happened, that I was on drugs and everyone was yelling at me because I wouldn’t get out of the bathroom,” she said. “But I got scared. I was in my head. I was so scared, so my experience was not good.”
She Almost Returned For Justin Bieber
The experience was enough to make Khloé lose interest in Coachella for years. Still, she recently admitted she nearly went back in 2026 to support Justin Bieber during his headlining performance.
On the April 29 episode of ‘Khloé in Wonder Land,’ she told Kris Jenner that she had rare festival FOMO because so many members of her family were there. “The first weekend was [my daughter] True’s birthday weekend,” Khloé said. “It’s probably the first year ever I’ve had FOMO from Coachella, because I genuinely couldn’t care less.” She added, “I was the only one not there.”
Kardashian-Jenner Family Turned Up Without Her
While Khloé stayed home, several members of the Kardashian-Jenner family attended Coachella-related events.
Kim Kardashian was photographed at Bieber’s performance with boyfriend Lewis Hamilton. Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner were also reportedly at the festival. Kris, who was traveling abroad at the time, watched Bieber’s set by livestream and praised the ‘Baby’ singer afterward.
For Khloé, though, Coachella still comes with an uncomfortable memory. The festival may be a celebrity playground for her sisters, but her own experience sounds more like a warning than a party story.
