Kid Rock is trying to sell his Freedom 250 Tour, and he is doing it with an office tour, a social media complaint and a little help from his son.

The 55-year-old country-rock singer posted a five-minute video on X on Friday, April 24, promoting his upcoming tour tied to America’s 250th anniversary. The Freedom 250 Tour begins May 1 in Dallas, Texas, and ends June 20 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

Instead of a standard tour promo, Kid Rock walked viewers through his Nashville office and claimed people like him get “suppressed” online.

“My son, who I could not be more proud of, holds down two jobs while taking care of a family, helps me with my social media because that’s what he does,” Kid Rock said.

Then he explained the strategy. “He told me, ‘Dad, if you want to promote something, you have to put some juicy content in there. Something more than just what you’re promoting… so it gets clicks and views.’”

Kid Rock Says Politics May Be Hurting His Reach

Kid Rock suggested his political views may be affecting how his content performs online.

“Otherwise, especially somebody like me gets suppressed, probably from my politics, whatever, so I’m taking heed to that,” he said. “And today to promote the 250 tour, I’m also going to give you a tour of my office.”

He did not give specific evidence of how he has been suppressed.

The ‘All Summer Long’ singer has long been one of Donald Trump’s most vocal celebrity supporters. He regularly speaks out in favor of conservative politics and has taken public shots at Democrats and liberals.

That political brand is also part of the conversation around his Rock The Country music festival, which has been dubbed the “MAGA festival” by critics.

His Office Tour Was Full Of Memorabilia

The video showed off Kid Rock’s large Nashville office space, including a lounge, kitchen, studio and pickleball court.

He also displayed several pieces of memorabilia. Among them were a customized Zoltar machine, a baby grand piano apparently used and signed by Elton John, and a vintage 1964 Bonneville convertible.

The tour was clearly meant to offer fans something more personal while slipping in promotion for upcoming shows.

It also came after reports that ticket prices for his Rock The Country festival had been slashed by 50%.

Rock The Country Has Faced Lineup Trouble

Kid Rock’s Freedom 250 Tour is not the only project on the calendar.

Rock The Country is also scheduled to begin May 1 in Bellville, Texas, and end September 12 in Hamburg, New York.

The festival has already faced several setbacks. Artists including Ludacris, Morgan Wade, Carter Faith, Creed and Shinedown reportedly dropped out of the lineup. The Anderson, South Carolina, stop was canceled entirely after artist withdrawals.

Jelly Roll also dropped out of the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, show on June 28, 2026, citing scheduling conflicts. Staind is set to replace him, though Jelly Roll is still expected to perform at the Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Ashland, Kentucky, stops.

For Kid Rock, the video was meant to drive attention back to the tour. Instead, the biggest takeaway may be his claim that he needs “juicy content” because the internet is holding him back.
